I got the green light from wifeypoo. Just waiting on Barrel. Had to bail out of my kids soccer game for that day. (I'm coach) I'm trying to figure out kyak tranportation on the beach when we get there? Any ideas?

Yes they offer a 3day 4x4 Permit for $50.00

There are some great walk on areas on the island. My favorite fall area is is from the maintenanca shed, south to the Gov.'s mansion. The area you look for is the first building you come to on the ocean side. That's the old life gaurd staion. There's 3 spots by the gate to park. Also there's parking across the road. It's a great stretch of beach. You get some nice cuts and holes there, with pretty deap water @ high tide. You do have to walk up a path then over through a dune, but if you're serious about fishin' good water, it's an easy walk. The area that's supposedly real "hot" right now is A21. It's the second to last parking spot on the island. When you crest the dune, look to you're left, there's a sweet hole just north of the entrance.
If your not mobile ie. no buggy, you're gonna have to walk a little bit, but these areas, I've found to be, the least taxing to get to.
