Kings arrived mid week last week. Plenty on 8th street jetty in Avalon at tip on ocean side. Enough room for about 5 rods. On Thursday last week fish on inlet side on good bite most all day. On weekend seemed to be on end. It was a zoo out there, with guys fishing for kings and guys using fly rods all over the place. It was something to see. Fished inside inlet side of jetty Thurs. and did pretty good.

Fish moved on beaches both in Avalon and Sea Isle on weekend. Many fish taken on pierand beside it in Avalon over weekend. Had great bite on early morning just after low tide on the up tide on today Monday. A lot of throw backs, but some eaten size too. Those little devils can really hit you hard for there size. Great for breading and frying.

Hope fish now stay for awhile along beaches in Avalon and Sea Isle areas.

All the bass pros should try bait once in awhile and know what fishing used to be like.

That's good news, now I can look forward to my first sea mullet dinner of the year.. Going to hit the beach in NWW and see if we can get some of those tasty little devils.

My buddy got em good this past Sat. in a surf fishing tourney in AC. Bloodworms were $12 a dozen. He'd like to scream when he heard that price. Anyway they worked as he caught stripers and kings on them. The guys using clam did not fare as well.

hey lazzman,it must have been pretty scary out there with all those people and all that fly line whipping past your head?suprised nobody got hooked!when some, not all, of the fly guys show up its like move over i need more room.its too bad that the number of fly guys with good common sense are in fewer numbers these days.fly fishin' is such a beautiful & artful form when it is perpetuated in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. i guess some guys want to be the next man of walker's cay.i stick to the surf where i have a better control of my personal safety!

Brigantine has em too, Fried up the first king dinner of the season last night. Has anyone tried the berkley worms yet? A lot cheaper if they work.
