Ever loose a prize plug ?

I see all of these posts with these costly plugs, and I was wondering how the fisherman feels when he/she looses one. It could be a loss due to cost or personal memories the plug brought. I can't imagine loosing a plug which was handed down in my family. I guess those plugs should stay on the shelf.

Lost many, found many too. Found three this year while on the boat off IBSP.

Lost a new tatoo yellow sea pup on on the first cast this fall. Maybe that's one you found, Bob? :D I was fishing from the north jetty at IBSP.

I lost a brand new Big Dons white pencil popper on it's third cast when a big blue took it, during the fight I think another blue tried to take it out of it's mouth and bit my leader. Watched it pop up a bit later. Tried snagging it as it floated out farther and farther. IBSP. It was a 2 1/2oz. beauty.

nope - anything prized aint fished. It's only prized if its RARE. Otherwise its fished.

I only lost 2 plugs last fall - one was on the rocks with a 20 pounda on the other end I landed it but got hit by a wave and the leader broke - the other I had a bail flip.

Like an egghead I took one of my dad's old huge amber colored swimmers that he had brought home from Martha'a Vineyard in 1952 ( the kind that came in the red box) and thought I would be cool and try and throw it with my conventinal like he used to do...well I got it too close to a jetty and now you know the rest of the story!

Lost a 3oz. black and purple Tattoo swimmer in the Cape May surf the first day I used it.
