Just wondering, Got a hole with a couple of big ones that I can't seem to fool, the low water levels aren't helping, and just switched to dayshift and will have limited time during the day. suggestions on some kind of live bait that would be best. thank u

I only tried for trout once and didn't do any good, but I have read that it is the way to get browns.

The night I went, years ago on Valley Creek, I kept hearing something moving on the bank, I didn't want to shine my light for fear of spooking the fish. Finally I shined it at the bank near my feet and there was a huge snapping turtle about 3 feet away. At that point I called it a night!

Was fishing the other evening in delco and caught a brown on a rapala right at dusk, may even have been considered dark? Wasn't really night yet.

I've had a lot of success after dark, especially when fishing pressure is heavy. And the post above is right, big browns feed at night.

In fall and winter 95% of my trout fishing is before the sun comes up in the am. In spring I do about 50/50.

I grew up trout fishing the Wissahickon creek in Philly. At this time I wouldn't recomend fishing there after dark
At our deer camp in Centre county in Pa. (penns creek) the real sharpies fish all night for giant browns. I've never done it, but have seen the results.

yes fish way after dark. stay out of the pool. no lights. its amazing how well you can see when your eyes adjust. you can tie knots. sit still for a while before you start fishing. big artificials along the bottom. live bait is gonna kill them. its one and done. if that matters.
