The surface of Raritan Bay from Keyport to Hoffman Island has been marked by frenzied patches of game fish chasing bait and providing exciting action on light tackle.
The fish are principally Spanish mackerel and bluefish on top, but there are weakfish under them.
The Spanish mackerel, visitors from the South, came into the bay by the thousands a few days ago, and they are a real asset to the fishery.
You can stop by the Tackle Box: Location: 1134 State Route 36 ? Hazlet, NJ 07730 732-264-7711
btw...Welcome aboard!!!
