I want to see what other people prefer when they fish a spinner bait. I prefer two blades, narrow, with a pounded finish over smooth. I am not sure if chrome or gold is more effective.
Colors
Olive/black
White
Orange/White

I like the ones with 2 smooth silver willow blades (the long skinny ones).

I use Willow blades best for clear water - Colorado blades for dirty water (more vibration)

I had about 50 of various styles, color, blade configerations, weights, ect.
Dirty Water-wh, blk, chartruece, firetiger...go big 1/2oz and bigger...colorado or turtle blades. You want a real thumper for dirty water. Bump it off structure. Bass hang tight to structure and the side when water is dirty.
Clean Water- Natural colors...willow leafs...1/2oz and smaller unless you are fishing deep.
In between...use your judgment.
These are the SUPER BASICS!

Luv em! All sizes blades, all styles and colors...A personall favorite of mine is a solid black bait with a solid black oversized colorado blade...that baby gets em going. Willows, coloradao, tandems, singles and inline spinners all have their place....get em all!

If I had one lure to bring to the lake any time of year it would be a a white double willow spinner. The bait is so versitle it can be burned on the surface or slow roled on the botom. And all columns in between. Cought more bass on this one bait then anything in my boxes. All other spinners have their place as well. Got em all and most colors. But always go back to white.

I agree - if you open my tackle box there are 3 color spinnerbaits - white, chartruse, & black.
And 75% are white Stanley Wedge with double willows. One of my true confidence baits.

Heavy black or purple with one gold Colorado blade and a long black plastic trailor, possibly with a rattle if I can find them. But that's mainly because I fish the cedar stained ponds in SJ. In clear sand ponds I use the standard white or gray with single or double silver willow blades.

Booyah Counter Strikes (Blades rotate in opposite directions)lots of vibration. You can really feel these baits turn thru the rod.
Char. and White 3/8 ounce #3 gold willowleaf and #1.5 Colorado for clearer water/clear skies.
Black #3 copper colorado with #1.5 copper colorado for muddier water and overcast days
