Recent photos posted by Far26 have me looking forward to going after some perch pretty soon....I do both land and boat fishing....Can anyone share their preffered rigs to use for perch (to be used for grass shrimp or small minnies)? Do you prefer store-bought tied rigs, or do you tie your own??? Last year, I didn't do too well with the store-bought perch rigs (with the styrofoam floats and larger hooks).....Thanks----Mike

Good question. I was wondering myself.

Hey guys we've played around with all kinds of rigs. When they are really aggressive just about anything will work. Small jigs with curly tails work great once the water warms up a little. If its early and cold we fish a top and bottom rig with gold or silver spinners on each hook.

Usually fished on a top and bottom rig with up to 2oz of lead on the bottom.

Didn't seem to matter, they were hitting both top and bottom regularly. Hope to get out again next week.
