Nice report kev, were you fishing with floating and a long leader or intermediate? I do well early with a nymph also but in olive. Bill

How do you fish a Nymph? Do you strip line, just jig it a bit? I never fished one on the fly and would like to know how.

Thanks

i just let it drift with the current and watch the end of my line for movement.sometimes, like yesterday,i cast out,let it sink, then slowly raise my ro so it draws back towards me.those crappies were fighting over it when it was moving.i'm sure theres other ways, too.

Wow, Audubon Lake...certainly has come a long way. Where were you fishing; closer to Kings Highway or the WHP? And be careful...I think since they stock that lake now one has to wait till opening day to fish there.

kings hwy.,and the lakes close a few weeks before the season starts.i think they close sunday,so you can fish it till then.the lake has some really good fish in it.there's bass, pickerel, crappies, yellow perch, white perch, sunnies, brook and rainbow trout(that are caught year round but the fisheries guys don't believe it)carp, big channel cats(personal best 24 lbs.)and i even saw a guy get a smallmouth this year.
