This has been kicked around a lot in reference to stripers, but I never saw the same for Largemouth.

Are there any "written in stone " or unspoken rules on this one among bassmasters??

Does it need to be from a specific body of water??

I checked with the Florida Fish and Game site about what you would need to have in order for a fish to qualify for a state record or a trophy catch: pretty much just a fishing license

Dr.Bass it depends on the State,Check out NJFGW website for there trophy fish program,Here in Jersey I would say anything over 8lbs would be a trophy Bass,HRL

If you fish with children that would be about 2lbs. Atleast that what my son says, although he has caught a couple over 4. Bill

I haven't broken the five lb. barrier yet,so anything over five would be a trophy to me.
