Joe has a first rate operation going there. We usually do real well with his trout early on.Something that is even more fun is the cats and hybirds that reside there. They can both make the drag scream. It's a great place to go in the summer when the water temps are up,the jet skiers and wanna bee's are at the shore.Catching hybirds and channnels beats skates, sea robins and the other fish in summer. And anybody who tells you that there is no challenge in fishing a preserve has not tried to entice the hybirds.See you all there. :D

BMckey,

Joe is a sponsor on the Barn, it's a great place to fish, especially if you have kids.

Check out the Barn Home Page.

Baurer's Pond is just south on RT 9 where RT 9 and RT 50 intersect. Great little fishing hole, can't wait to get down there again.
I've fished it for about 10 years now, making trips each year early to mid March. Expect the largemouth bass to turn on within the next few weeks. Grass shrimp is by far the best way to catch all species of fish at Baurer's. Black and Blue jig'n'pigs kill largemouth bass in the fallen timber.
Is the pond entirely free of ice? My lake is still 3/4 frozen over. I'll be in touch soon Joe, looking forward to getting down that way!

skip all fish were caught on those rainbow rooster tails with gold spinners. We tried the gulp baits from the show but no takers.Gotta go with the slow twich and retrieve this time of year.also no ice on the lake at this time
