From the canal it like 140nm.It's all up to the Del Bay though. When we left last year it was smooth 2ft chop at 30knts up to Salem then we opened it up in the C&D canal. When we got to CHESSY we stayed at about 35 to 40 knts and got to the BAY Bridge Marina in 3-1/2hrs. On the way home was a different story 4-1/2 hrs the Del Bay was trash and at low tide

You can call Bob Flocklen the ASA director or try the Marina  not really sure

While you guys are down there could you spread the word about the Striper Tagging program in the bay. It will benefit the Chessy guys too. The program will track fish from the mouth up the river and into the chessy.

Hi Gang-
I am considering trying this tournament this year. Do most people fish their home waters and run to the scales? Or for this particular tournament, do a lot of folks make the trip down to the Chesapeake and fish that area?

Maybe a Contender down the line right now I'm buying a house.Joe go to the "gas docks" it's about 35nm south from the weigh-in that's where the fish were last year and seems to be the spot. It's pretty much a trolling thing but fish can be caught on the chunk just deeper GOOD LUCK!!! Like I said last year we bombed out this year we are sticking with what we know HOME TURF!! ;) but ya know what Joe you would look better in that 23 fountain then I would i'll settle for a $$$$$$ prize ;) I also know guys who fish the beaches there with bloodworms and do well .We tried shallow and busted also the tides don't seem to be as fast as we are used to so less weight.I'm pretty sure Robert was closer to the west shore on day 2 in 35 to 45 feet around thte GAS DOCKS but alittle further south he watched me troll right by him but they had the cloacking device on cause I know see him senior'e. That's all i know or remember from last year.Top 6 all bassbarners that would be cool

Just some info for 1st timers down there...
1. Get a maryland fishing Lic.
2. If you fish the ASA all people on board must be members to be eligble for prizes.
3. You can travel from the DE bay with a fish but can not stop on closed waters and do anything that resembles fishing(short interpretation call FG+W for detailed explanation)This was a point of contention with anglers in the Chesa. Bay but we just abide by whatever rules are in place ASA, State and FED.
4. Marland has fantastic ramp facilities.
5. I can't believe Bites is talking crap already especially with the outcome each time he does so!!! LMAO :D :D

Joe it's Div 4 but it counts for angler of the year points not Div points remember its your 4 best fish for the year plus its the biggest event they have and everybody fishing has to be an ASA member on your boat for your points to count. BOB has that story to tell

If anyone has a spot open to fish the ASA out of Maryland, I would be intrested. Our boat will not be ready until later in the season. I've been fishing all my life and think I could be helpful to a team.
thanks...
