today in the lbi area we caught over 100 stripers to 34 inches and 20 bluefish to 9 lbs aboard the trade wins, birds were working all day and fish were breaking the surface after peanut bunker, a striper on almost every cast...perfect day of fishing, nice weather

and there was only 3 guys on the boat,lots of action for all of us

what were they hitting on? eels? bucktail?

actually they hit on shorty hopkins all day, started off with crippled herring had a 9 lb blue and a bunch of other smaller blues probably 30 in 10 minutes but then we switched to the hopkins shortys and caught all of them striped ones
