The new striper regulations bill was passed by the Assembly (59-17-3} yesterday. The senate bill S1691 has not been voted on yet. Once the bill is passed by the senate it will go to the governor's desk to be signed. On 6/14/2004 S1691 was introduced in the Senate and referred to the Senate Environment Committee. Does anyone know when the senate will vote on the bill???

I believe they must vote on it soon to prevent New Jersey striper season from being shut down. There isn't much time left. I think August 1st is the Federal deadline for Jersey to impliment a approved plan.
