happy new year everyone. I am in the process of buying another boat, 21 foot striper walkaround. I have allways kept my boats on the trailer but this is too big to tow every week or so. How much should I expect to pay for a slip? Money Island is one choice Cape May is the other.Any opions or help would be great.

Welcome and Maurice River price are about the same at Port Norris/Popeye's/longreach. 21' should run you are $5-800 or so. Depends which marina, which dock, how close to the walking ramp, electrical hook-up. Cape May I would say is quite a bit more somewhere in the 1000-1500 I would say but you should be able to get a few more answers from the Cape May and $ Island guys.

Agita I bought a 1996 model 2150 it belonged to my brother in law but times are hard so he offered to sell it to me.Hardtop, outriggers, rocket launchers, full canvas, 175hp ocenpro. Only 411hrs on it, great buy coudln't pass it up. I lucked out with the slip my friend kept his parker there but is selling the boat so I got his slip, down the end by chucks shop.My wife would rather be close to the beach but oh well.

Hey Schwepp. Hope to meet ya in the spring. I'll be in the water late march. There's quite a few barners at $island. WE always seem to put each other onto some hot spots when things start running. Keep an eye on them water temps for the magic 45 degree mark. We had an outstanding fall striper run. Also note that a few bouys have been removed by the Coast Guard. None that mark the river were removed. Just a few that mark some decent fishing spots. get the gps #'s for six-bouy, and the WR bouy at least. And get your paperwork in real soon to Roger. They fill up quick.

I didn't renew my slip this year since I didn't use the boat enough last year. Plus I'm equidistant from the Jersey coast, Delaware Bay, Chesapeake Bay and Wallenpaupack so it's back to the trailer life for me. The slip was $1880 for a 21' from 5/1 - 10/31. All Seasons Marina in Mamora. Nice place but I never used the extras I was paying for - clean bath house, picnic area, dining pavilion, etc. Figure I can buy alot of fuel for the truck with the $1880.

I've lurked alot on this site but this is my first post. First, thanks everyone for everything I learned. I have a 26ft boat docked at the southend of LBI and it costs me $2,200 yr. with shorepower and H20. I know it's expensive but the boss told me she had to be able to walk to the beach or she would make my life miserable.

You fellas have it made.
Come up to CapeCod, Orleans to P-town and try to find a slip. there is only one marina and the waiting list for a mooring is 15+ years.  There are so many trailers parked on the sided of the roads that it is becoming a hazzard. Some of the ramps require a 1/2 mile walk to where you park your vehicle/trailer if you launch after 7 AM.

As inconvienent as it is still the greatest place on earth to live if you can afford it. smile.gif smile.gif

Bear it all. I keep mine at All Seasons. Its expensive but I dont think they make you pull it. I pull mine out in middle of Nov but they do shut the water off after the first hard freeze.

Bree-Zee-Lee for my money. It would probably be around $900 to $1000, but, you are RIGHT there, straight across from Cape May Inlet(Cold Springs), the Canal-right there, back water is great-you'll save on fuel, that's for sure,IMO, Leon
