A SAD GOODBYE
The area lost another one of our favorite fishing partners this week. Captain Jerry Blakeslee of the charter boat--Grizzly--went to a better place after a short illness. He captained the big red boat out of Lewes Harbor and will long be remembered for his tog and striper trips and winning personality.

He and I ended up striper fishing in alot of the same spots out beyond the crowd. In fact, I have one spot in my striper spot book that I call the Grizzly spot out beyond Overfalls. I am sure he will be in my mind everytime I fish that spot, till I join him in Fisherman's heaven

I never met Jerry but we fished alongside each other many times. He was always a gentleman with me and an excellent fisherman who willing to share info with other fisherman. He will be missed. It was easy to see that red boat on the Delaware side. God Bless his family and friends.
