In the last few years, I have been a convert to clamming in the back bays for bass and have done real well...

Here is my idea....

I bartend part time in the Northeast...we serving mussels on our menu. The chef throws out the old uncooked mussels after a few days. He told me I can have them but he is not what I would do with them.

Could I mash them up....shells and all....and chummed them up, along with my clams?? Or am I just going to make a mess....

I would imagine that would bring them to the boat...

What do you guys think?

2nd the winter flounder thought.

I use mussels and a mix of cat food for winter flounder as chum. Then use the mussels as bait also.
