Stripers in the Rips!

Hey guys!

The Adam Bomb II fished the Cape May rips today. We fished Prissy Wicks in water that hovered in the 42-43 degree range, and stayed surprisingly clean throughout the outgoing tide despite the recent windy days. With one angler aboard, we boated a couple of stripers that were a bit smaller in size, with the largest being a fat 27" slot fish. We had other action with a couple of missed hits and one nice fish that we lost after a short bout to a pulled hook. The breeze was a bit stiffer than forecasted initially, but all in all the weather was nice and the fish were there! It only gets better from here!

I saw five boats out there today from the beach at the point. You must of been one of them. Good to hear things are starting up. Nice to be out there this time of year with not a ton of boats all around you. I am sure the wind was a pain as it got stronger, as the afternoon progressed, but it was still better than being on shore. With a flats boat, I am waiting for it to get just alittle warmer before I start making some trips. Thanks for the post.

Hey guys! Thanks for the replies! The fishing is definitely heating up. Considering we only fished about two hours of the outgoing tide in a stiff breeze across the current, we had some action!

I have trips running all this weekend, and the fishing should be real good! Give me a call to get in on the action!
