what would you do this weekend... chum clam and clam on the hook too... or bunker?.. i think i know a few spots i want to try but i hate coming up empty handed every weekend... only time i catch stripers good is when i charter a boat... want atleast one lol... buddy is picking up bunker from his buddy and i odered clams and bellies from chuck at off the hook

The guys dunkin clams in the surf are doing pretty good. The boaters are only catching shorts. So it might be more a matter of how long your rod needs to be.

sounds like your set. i will use a bushell tomorrow and i will have 6 fresh bunker for the dead stick.it cant hurt. i am targetting drum but the strper are still there just read the post across the board

yeah thats what i'm going to do... just don't know where to try... and if i should use the whole bunker or just just it up use the heads and body and chum the tails...

Depends on where you are fishing. Clams are working for me in LE Inlet, and most are not shorts. Occasional Drum mixed in as well. Not killing them, but I have not been shutout yet. Lots of dogfish, so lots of clams required. I'll switch to bunker when bunker make a showing off LBI.

2 long with bunker heads or mid-sections off the back and 3 short with clams = hopefully striper and drum combo.

hey man thats only because of the other guy... if my uncle was there that would have not happened... don't worry in the process of getting my own boat no more sharing... i might even let you on...
