View Full Version : BUCKTAILIN' BASS!

Once again, the Adam Bomb II fished the Cape May rips on the top of the flood tide, and had fish to 36" on bucktails. The water temperature is up to 43 degrees on the flood, and with that the fish are hitting harder and it seems as though some larger fish are mocing into the area.
As we move into April, the fishing should continue to get better and better. We'll be hitting the rips all through the month of April and in to May for some exciting striped bass fishing, so give us a call or send us an e-mail for more information and to make your reservation!

Umm, Let's have a math lesson on this one? If the fish were caught at the top of the flood tide and high tide was at 12:30ish, then the fish must have been caught in the MORNING, on the incoming tide.
Great Job Captain Adam,Keep them coming!!!!

Great Job Captain Adam,Keep them coming!!!! Thanks for the lesson teacher!
It's good to know that you know so much about the Tides in the Cape May Rips! The guy was only asking a simple question. Be a little more positive, because with the Bosses attitude it won't be good for business. Just my 2 cents. smile.gif

Great job Adam....but what is "mocing"...a new technique? I don't even think Skippy knows that one!

"Mocing" is the term used by some captains to describe the swimming of striped bass from one area to the next. It can be used interchangably with the word "moving" :D ;) . Any way you slice it, the striper bass are here and Capt. Adam knows how to catch them. I hope we can do the same.

Hey guys!
No problem on the report! Come on! You guys don't know what "mocing" is? Besides being a new rip fishing technique, that's also my interpretation of how to spell "moving." :D

I don't where you fished in the rips, but I worked inside on Prissy for the end of the flood until about noon, and that's where we had our fish.
Here's a picture back at the marina of our biggest fish from yesterday...

Hey Bob! How have you been? I haven't seen you on the Barn in a while. I haven't even had a chance to answer your question, yet!
Anyhow, we left the dock around 8:45am, and got to the rips around 9am. Low tide in the rips was about 6am, and high tide was at noon. We fished the last half(otherwise known as the top half) of the flood tide until Noonish.
I hope this answers your question, and I wish you all the best in your upcoming season!

Yes, the ABII is nuclear powered! ;) Big Yammie 250 pushes the AB near 50 mph in the right conditions.

Hey Bob! No problem on the information! I'll have to check it out.
Ray, yep! Fifteen minutes is all you need to get to the good fishin' of the Cape May rips aboard the Adam Bomb II! As you can see, Jim's hair can vouch for that!
Jim, April 2nd is right around the corner, and the fishing should be hot! I can't wait!
