Vinny,
I just wanted to say congratulations again on catching that monster bass on the May 20th charter.
I got a "reel" thrill seeing and hearing the rod snap at the hook set and then watching you reel in that beast with what was left of the rod.
I hope you are satisfied with the pictures. The pictures are only a glimpse of the majesty of that fish and it was truly remarkable to see it in person. Thanks for sharing your fish of a lifetime with us.
Best regards,
Doug

Well, let me tell you I was there! I also had a charter that night and Vinny & Capt Kobey followed me in to the dock. We all weighed that fish and it was every bit of 55+!!! It pulled down 3 of the scales we had to 55 lbs plus!

We did the 53.5" lenght and the 29.5" girth and did it on the chart and guess what ?
It came to 58.1 #

The stomach in fact is naturally filled with helium, making it lighter than normal."

The weight of a fish is hard to estimate unless you have already caught and weighted alot of 'em to "calibrate" your eye.
Obviously ol Calvin has not had this experience.

We will see how the PP works. I think we are might try to tie with the uni knot and see what happens. First breakoff all the line is coming off and we will fish the boat rods. Let us know when the mount is done and we will be over!!!
