Good job! I fished it hard Sunday. I live about a mile from Chesapeake City MD (where my boat is). I fish it and charter parties on the flats this time of the year pretty hard. BUT, I hate to say, you have done better then me and my crews! This is a strange, excellent, and horrible fishery all in one. One day you have to rest your arm from fighting fish and the other you have to rest it from casting 1,000,000 times.

But, it usually does not pick up concistently util another couple weeks. Maybe sooner though depending on the weather (temp).

If anyone wants a report, shoot me an email. I would post it on the BARN but didnt think any one besides locals new about the flats to much.

Good luck......

Rob Whats up? Any other family on here that I know? Yeah thats cool about Thanksgiving, me and pop went out with Uncle Ray in the Rabalo but he did not want to take it out too far with it being the first time in the water after the 3rd rebuilt transom. So we got skunked, and the other bro's went for broke on a charter. Johnny was the only one of our crew that hit any thing that weekend. But I am working on my 25Ft trying to get in the water for Drumming season. Frank is comeing back in town for Steve's wedding and I want to get him out to do some east coast fishing while he's here.

Fished the flats both days this past weekend...went 1 for 2....On Saturday spent some time trying to jig them up like everybody else, 1 hit in about 3 hours, decided to move up to shallower water and anchor and drown some blood worms. I won't say the bite got hot but in 2 hrs we caught about a dozen, mostly small fish 18-22 inches...did catch 1 around 15lbs.

then on sunday just caught the skunk.

will try again later in the week.

Hey minnivanman, I was fly fishing in the boat next to you when you hooked up to that fish Saturday morning. We managed to catch 14 fish, but a lot of small ones. The first fish of the day was the niciest - probably around 15 lbs. We also managed to get 3 5.5 pounders, but the rest were nothing to brag about.
