We headed out of Port Norris at around 7:30 and headed toward Miah Maul. About half way there, we decided it was to cold to make that long a detour and headed towards the Horseshoe. On the way we trolled a Stretch 25, a long Bomber and a white bucktail with chartreuse tail. After the Stretch fouled the other lines, we pulled them in and headed to the Shoe. We fished 21 feet, 18 feet, 25 feet and 22 feet. We had a steady pick of skates and a few horseshoe crabs and then hit a 27? bass at our last stop in 22?. We fished until about 12:45 and headed in. It got nice in the afternoon. Then hit horrible traffic on I76. Here?s the 27? slot bass/

Then the boy had to play in the boat. Hard to believe he?s only two. They grow up fast.

I thought we were destined to fly the skunk flag from the outriggers. Lucky, I guess. From what I heard on the radio, it was kind of slow for everyone. I heard one report of over 50 but it wasn't us.

We were out there around 1 bouy and thankfully had much better luck then you all did. I haven't post my report yet but will sometime later today. We managed a slot each and boated about 15 - 20 stripers and 5 - 8 Skates! We also had 1 over 31"er :( bummer putting him back in the water!

Jack - he ended up turning the key and turning the engine over  . Luckily the trusty Johnny didn't fire up like it usually does ;) . I'll be hiding the keys when it's tied up at the house in Florida. I don't think he's ready to take off across the flats by himself. And no, the ropes and pilings won't hold the boat - the house has mooring whips (I've already broken one of those ;) ).
