After solid reports of fish the last 2 weeks I got out on the 1st charter of the season. Mike and Rita got to the boat and we left the dock at 8am anticipating "slaying" them. Anchored up in Great Bay... throwing clam bellies ... some nice fresh clams on the hook.. but it was soon obvious not to be the case. NOT A TOUCH !!! Nada, zilch and so goes the first skunk of the season  .
Several boats around... not a net dipped... The land lubbers ? Nope ... didn't see a bent rod there neither,
Water temp dropped from 53.5 earlier in the week to 49 on Saturday and the water was dirty...
Better days are coming... Now that mother nature turned off that big fan... and warm temperatures this week... we will be back on track .... I hope !!!!

Rich, not much better luck on Sunday for us. Fresh bait, bright sun & no fish. I think the masses of nimbrods running through the anchored fleet has put the bite down a bit.

I was at Graveling point sunday and got 2 stripers. Great day for me at least. I got one at 17 inches and another at 29.5 inches. So no fish to take home. The big one was a blast, what a great fight and a fat fish. But released to fight again some day. You will get them next time Rich. Better days ahead

As I figured.... I had good reports last night that the fish are cooperating again.... This morning I saw a couple fish walked off the point from the landlubbers... Gonna spend the day getting some odds and ends done on the boat and get back out there later in the week...
