Bob & myself joined Tony on his dar-lynn once again. For a day of Striper fishing. Clams, check. Gas, check. Electronics, check , fish .. well ...
The morning started off very slow to say the least. We tried 2 spots. 1st spot was off of Cliffwood. Nothing but a bump or 2. 2nd spot of of UB. Nothing. Time was running out, day looking bleak. Then the call came in! Anchor up and away we went.
Spent the 2nd part of the day bailing fish over the rails!!! The day was saved. 62 Stripers, all on clams. Water temp was 50.3, depth was 18 Ft. Largest fish was 33.5 inches 12.4 lbs.
We had 1 'brief' period as the wind shifted against tide but when you casted your bait up tide and walked it back you hooked up.A great trip once again.
