Ok, the spring bass that we find in South Jersey, specifically behind SH/Avalon/SIC, what river are they running up to spawn. Or are they just coming in to feed and then heading to Egg Harbor River, Del Bay, ect.

Just curious,

Based on my tagging data from past couple of years, they have wintered over and will migrate out into all of the rivers ,Delaware, Egg Harbor,Mullica, and Hudson IF they are spawning age
Think there may have been more than normal wintering over this year due to higher than normal water temps and late returning

Bucktail, thanks for the hit back. Where does the Mullica enter the bays?? Ive also always thought that the presence of larger fish was a sure sign that they were on the move. Do you think larger fish winter over in our area or just schoolie sized fish?

Also, how do I start getting into tagging? The fish I landed this past weekend wasnt tagged but it had damage to his mouth area in two spots. I kept the fish, my first of the year, but it looks like I was atleast the third person to catch her.

Ryan --Mullica flows into Great Bay, Tagging info can be found at american littoral society.com

Keeper Seeker, saw some good marks in right places this morning not no bites, caught first of incoming and water temp was dropping. Last year 48 degrees produced fish on bucktails starting with April 5th.
