Had a Bachelor Party aboard today. Left from Wildwood Crest this morning early and started our long trip past Cape May, and up the Bay. The weather forecast turned out to have a worse bark than bite. The 25-30 knot winds were more like 10-15. The terrible thunderstorms turned into a dark cloud, rain for 5 minutes, and one clap of thunder. The 3-4 ft waves were more in the 6 inch to 18 inch category. Headed up till we found the warmer water, then we started our search. Finally around 12:30pm in the day we started a slow pick after we threw every kind of bait we had in the boat at em. We ended up with some nice action and 3 keepers. Not setting the lines on fire, but not bad for the first trip out of the year, with a less than perfect forecast, and not much to go on. And to top it all off one of the keepers was caught by the Groom. He told the bride to be he had to do that before they tied the knot. Way to go!
