Report Great day!

Headed out 9am yesterday and weather was better than forcast. 1-3 until a strom blew by at about 1pm. Fish turned on during the storm and bit the rest of the day. All on clams no takers on blood worms. Caught 23 fish biggest was 39 then 36 two 33 two 32 and one 30 was our keepers. Most of the rest were over 28. smallest was 25. 9 feet of water in the bay on top of a shoal. Top of high tide temp was 48.5 low tide was 51. Bite was real light just taps had to set the hook on second tap or fish gave up. Not one take and run, rods in the rod holders got one fish all day. Great first day. Blood worms caught a skate could not believe he was in there already. Good luck hope this helps.

Nice report. It wasn't a bad day to be on the bay at all, except for the brief storm like you said, especially this early in the season. The weather forecasters can be a blessing some days and nail it on the head. Than there are days like yesterday which make me happy meteorology isn't an exact science. The shallow water was a key factor. We were out in the deeper water 15-18ft and didnt even have a bite. When we moved into 12ft or less we had action at least.
