Went out into the DE Bay and onto the rips
Water temp was 46 in the rips and 50 up the bay. We were using frozen clams (could'nt get fresh)and artificials like bucktails and swimmers.
We went to the rips and drifter through about 10 times with no actions, this was at 0800 when the flood was moving in and wind seemed to be from the NW and we were drifting south.
It was pretty choppy so we moved up the bay but it was 2 - 3 out there keeping us slow. We anchored up near dead man's shoal for 2 hours with some other boaters (about 6), no action either. The boat to our left pulled in 1 striper while we were there and that was all we saw.
One boat in the rips reported 5 catches but we did not see them pull any in and do not know what they were using.
I'm thinking of starting my own pool on when this bad luck streak will end and I get my first striper in this boat. Cheer me on guys I need it.
