View Full Version : Tough morning for us! - ADAM BOMB 4/3

Hey guys,
We ran out on a pretty snotty day with stiff South wind blowing right up the bay. We fished for a few hours with Sledge, his son Matty, and Stalker Skip with lackluster results. We ran around quite a bit and marked some fish at various locations, but with the tough conditions bites were hard to come by on the flood tide this morning. We had seven legitimate bites, but could only put the hook in one shorty for the morning! Next time, it's over for the striped ones!
Talked to another boat who also had slim pickins on the end of the flood when we fished.

Joe - I didn't want to mention the one that someone busted off, but they redeemed themself when saving us from the skunk! :D I had a great time with you and Matt. At least he kept his shoes on this time! ;)
James - it's on for next time! We covered some bay, saw some fish, had some bites, but didn't get 'em in the boat!

Adam,
You know you'll kill 'em when the conditions are better.
You and the other charterboats are at the mercy of Mother Nature...you can't pick and choose when to sail, if you're booked you have to go.
It will only get better as the water warms.

Yeah fellas! It's gonna' happen BIG TIME real soon. They're here, but it was tough to get them to eat yesterday. We had some bites yesterday, but they were hitting super light which made them tough to stick! We'll see what happens on Thursday morning.

Adam,
I am sure when the fish start to eat you will be there putting them in the boat. Sooner or later they will start to feed. Sometimes we learn more on a tough day fishing. It is too easy when you are bailing them. :D Fish don't eat like a horse. :D

Captblock, they were biting real good for a while there, and slowed down a bit the other day with a couple days of real tough conditions. There are plenty of fish around, and it'll be red hot again any day now!

That wind was kicking this morning. You did good just to get out.
We all need a practice day.
Thanks for the report.
