Well, a tip of the hat and a big THANK YOU to the members of South Jersey Coastal Fly Anglers for their most hospitable welcome tonight :D .

My son and I attended their meeting this evening and were greeted by a group of very friendly and sharing individuals. From our perspective as beginner/novices, there certainly was a wealth of knowledge in the room ;) .

We both made some new accquaintences, and I saw some familiar faces :cool: .

My son was especially excited about the flies that a few of the members gave him smile.gif .

During the presentation made by the featured guest, my son leaned over to me and said emphatically several times,"Dad,...TAKE NOTES !" :D :rolleyes:

He wanted to do some tying as soon as we got home :eek: .

I don't think he would have been able to go to bed if he had won the great selection of flies that were raffled off :D .

Nice to see you and your son. The flys shown last night were not the easiest to ty. If your son was excited about them, that says something about how good he will do. I am sure when he starts out with some of the easier ones, he will be a pro in no time. You can check out the SJCFA web site for the flies tied last night, Dave said he would get them on as soon as possible, plus there are alot of other easier flys shown too. Good luck, hope to see you and your son at our other meetings.
