How did the meeting go last night. I was going to come and become a member but got stuck working OT. Did I miss anything.

Topwater time is absolutely NUTZ!!!
The crease fly will catch fish very well when the water is calm, and peanuts or herring are around. It will be good to see you there.

Padre,
You were missed at our last meeting.I hope you can make it soon.
To the many who made it: You guys got to learn a fly tying technique from one of the best in the buisness! Thanks to Brad for sharing his time and materials with our club. It is very much apreciated!
To those who missed it, I feel that I have a few points that I need to share freely, so I will do so here.
Next month is our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Where has the year gone?
Next meeting it will be time for all charter mebers to pay their annual dues. Those who signed up later in the year and paid full price, will pay a pro-rata amount for this second full years dues.
As you all know, some announcements are simply "club buisness" and are not suitable for this public forum ( ;) as you all learned last night) . I had a great time welcoming 3 first time guys last night to our club, and we signed up another new member as well.
We continue to grow with QUALITY members in our second year. Thanks to you for keeping the "lights on tongue.gif "
..Wait untill you hear what i have to tell you guys next month:D :D :D !

Any chance we can get some pics of Brad's work up? The ones I took didn't quite capture the detail too well, and I don't want to do him a diservice.
It was a great meeting, and thanks again Brad!

Check out the photo gallery in the club website. I posted quite a few up on there. I also threw in some "not so bad" ones from last month's tying meeting with Reggie. Unfortunately, none of the step-by-step photos came out for either meeting (that lighting is really hard to work with because I need a slow shutter speed, but I can't ask the tyer to stop at every step or blind the tyer with a flash, so they all come out blurry!).

Dave, Nice pics.
Nothing like a full color picture of a guys marker collection to get your juices flowing.

Oh, you get those funny feelings looking at fully loaded marker boxes too??? :D I thought I was the only one....

Did I do the detail justice? Having a tripod and the right lighting really helps smile.gif . And a good camera... You should see the full sized 5 megapixel versions

Boy I am missing all the good tying meetings. I know I had fun fishing, but I want it all. Looks like it was another good one. Got back and I am trying to get caught up on loose ends, the zillion emails etc.
Dave, are you telling us that your super expensive do it all cammera can't take a simple picture? or does that cammera need a better operator? I will have to check it out and see whats happening.
Didn't have any real access to a fast computer. I was just barely able to keep up with the stock market so I feel I have been out of touch with what it going on. The ones I used were so slow I could walk in deep mud faster.

They looked pretty good, Dave. I was really hampered by angle, and shutter speed..
