leedz49,
I was watching a fisherman on the beach in LBI
a couple of weeks ago and he pulled (3)Fluke out
of the Surf with his Flyrod one morning...
And since then the bite has been very good around
there in the wash right on up to today...
It's Worth Checking Out...

Good Luck,,,,

You think these storms will shut it down for a few days? Just rain though, not a lot of wind. oops I said it.

How Much-How Long..
The Weather Has Put A Damper On Things lately
Here is the Fluke Report out of Fishermens
Headquarters/LBI this Morning....
-----------------------------------------
JULY 14, 2004
8:00 AM Alex P. of Allentown PA boated a 3 pound 3 oz. Fluke in the Holgate area of the Bay. He used a squid and minnow combination to entice the 21" fish. But largely, Fluke fishing is still plagued by a high throw back ratio if you can even find them. I talked to one angler who was skunked yesterday fishing Great Bay to Holgate. Even small boats that have been scoring in the creeks and shallows will now be faced with the run-off from recent rainfall. Cold water is a problem for those fishing the Ocean for Fluke. Kingfish and Fluke in the wash have been the best game in town as usual at this time of the season.
