I will start off by saying that this is going to sound like a advertisment but its not. This is just one fly fisher who just achieved a long time goal and had the time of his life encouraging others to do the same. The powered by guinness left the dock at 2:30 pm on fri afternoon looking for inshore tuna on the fly. loaded with plenty of peanuts we went to a spot we call the puck had the first tuna on the second strip of the second cast. Had non stop action on BFT all @ 20lbs for as long as our wrists and knuckles could handle. The three of us caught at least 10 fish each. My abs are sore from the fighting butt my wrist is kicked I've got tuna thumb, and cant believe my 10 wt. made it back in one piece What a rush!! This is the third day we have fly rodded these fish and will be doing it again tomarrow. Not sure how long this will last but if you have any interest call capt. Joe Hughes Jersey Cape Guide Service he has a add with the barn. Video and pics to follow (hopefully) I am not that good with a computer. BFT on the fly in South Jersey who would have ever thought. Hope it continues Jay Powered by Guinness

How far out where you? 10 miles? 50 miles? BFT's on a 10wt sounds pretty exciting!

JVC, You Lucky #$#$&** we did the same thing and couldn't get them to bite they were feeding on sandeels and my buddy couldn't hook up with after putting him on school after school. He never changed his fly. Great job, I have a 10wt also and checked the drag after our trip, I have a SA 1011 reel with calipers like disc brakes on your car. Both of the pads came unglued and fell apart after I took it apart. I am sort of glad I didn't hook up otherwise I would of been Mr. Bloody Knuckle buster. We were at the SI ridge and managed 2 BFT on the troll. They were 10 feet from the back of the boat!!!!!!

Took JVC and Dusty out for the Bluefin tuna on the fly...you should have seen the looks on their faces as they couldn't even keep the fly in the water without getting hit...25 total tuna, several double headers, and three triples...mayhem!!!!! This is the FOURTH day in a row.

For some reason, this report does not surprise me at all!
Joe is dialed into the fishery in our waters like none i have seen. JVC is a hardcore fly guy as well...I wish I was out with you guys...maybe next time?

Sounds like the ultimate experience. With the warm water hope the action continues. Sounds like Joe has it going great, and the best heavy action around. Wonder how big you can get them on a 10 wt before something gives, it sure would be fun to try. What kind of fly did they take? Exciting report and way to put them on the fish Joe.
