We have some openings tomorrow for striper fishing in the backwater with clam. We had some nice fish back there in the spring last year.
We were planning on fishing in the rips tomorrow, but the water temperature of around 42+ dropped to 39-40 degrees, which seemed to give the fish out there lockjaw. Once the water temp. does warm up a few degrees they will start to bite again out there again, all we need is a nice sunny warmer day, and with the forcast, that looks to be soon!
We will be giving the backwater a try, I have heard of some fish being caught back there and the water is definately warmer back there. We will be leaving at 8AM and fishing the outgoing tide.
If you are interested in giving it a try, give us a call.
