Oh boy......Sailsmanship......Before you get gang raped about posting an exact spot here. Let me just give you the heads up you CANNOT do that. There are too many people on this board who will whip you silly. Injfo like that should be passed along through email or phone contact. A general location would be much better. Such as the north end of the Island, or the south end or so forth. This is a great community of guys and I see you are a new member. Don't let the verbal butt kicking you are about to recieve deter you from this web site. You are new and you made an honest mistake. Learn from it and become an active contributer.

The internet is a huge thing, it gives pretty much anybody and everybody access to almost anything they want. Theres almost 10 thousand members on this site, and probably just as many "lurkers", I know I was one just a few days ago. There are a lot of eyes out there reading this stuff that probably will never report or join in on any conversation.
ANYBODY can now go to the "spot you mentioned". If you were to fish there tomorrow, you might not be able to set up there because of a dozen guys soaking clams and slinging eels in the exact spot you just mentioned. IT IS WRONG, even if you cant see it, trust me, it is.

Not only did you probably ruin this spot for yourself, but you ruined it for everybody else who put in the time to find it.

Imagine a novice striper fisherman. Thier first few outings are skunks, but they go to different places looking for fish hoping to find a spot that produces. After countless hours and $$ they finally find a good spot that consistenly produces fish, that not many know about. Then this person logs onto the internet to read about somebody telling EVERYBODY about how good the spot is, the same spot you put in countless hours to find. Its not fair to those who put in the time to find the spots.

I hope this doesnt sound angry or anything, I know it was an honost mistake, just trying to explain what you did wrong.

sailsmanship, Not Cool, although your intentions are good, its not a good idea in this day and age on the internet as stated above..
Here is a message post on the barn from the owner.
Posting a Report? If so, please be sure to include as much valuable information as possible. You know...things like~ tide, lures, bait, colors, etc, etc, etc. When it comes to "location", please DO NOT post specific "SPOTS".
This request is brought to you by "P.E.T.S" (People For The Ethical Treatment Of Spots)

I would of emailed you,but I don't see a email address for you ???

Thanks,,

not for nothing but there are better ways to gather this type of information like building up relationships here and networking offline and out in the field. And your comment about someone crying well let me tell you that I have seen first hand how spots both by land and by sea can get overrun by a few strokes of the keyboard on fishing message boards.

By the way how many responses did you get from this quote of yours earlier this month ?
