Headed out this morning on the Cape May Lady with the full bait arsenal. Clams, Spots, and Eels, all from the Miss Chris Marina which has all of the above. Wasnt sure where to head to find the clean water and not get beat up. Went and drifted in front of the Ferris Wheel off Wildwood. Had all the horn dogs you could ever want. Heard of a couple stripers caught but not enough to make it worth staying. Plus the guys really wanted to fish the famous Cape May Rips. I explained that the water would be chocolate milk. They didnt care. Off we went braving sub freezing temps with freezing spray all over the boat. Thankfully our heater kept the Cabin toasty. Started inside hoping to not beat the gys up, but the seas werent as bad as everyone made them out to be. So we headed to the outside of Prissy Wicks and the water got alittle better. Still no bites on anything. Finally ened up halfway to DE. Found clean water a couple stripers, and some good bluefish action. Still very tough fishing for less than stellar results. However, it was legal fishing.
