View Full Version : Tackle for Bass
Hi, I am hoping some of the striper sharpies could give me some bass tips.I have Penn lonbeach, and sentor 3/0s on medium action rods. What would be the best size line to use with eels and for chunking. Also -trolling for bass, do you have to use downriggers when using mono? Or is there a different method? Thanks in advance.

I would put 30lb power pro or spiderwire in them. When jigging you feel the hit imediately, when trolling the lure gets down deeper.

I prefer braid or wire to downriggers for trolling. Depending on how deep you need to go and what lures you're using drail weights should get you down there.

Thanks for the info. I'll give some of these ideas a shot. I guess I'll purchase some more trolling drails. I have some but never have used them.
