First our report from Sat 9th.
Ran down to the rips before sun up on Sat Morning. Arrived just as the tide was starting to move. The temp was between 68-71 and didn't see anything but blues! Went through alot of eels! But we had to give it a try!
Today Mon 11th.
Decided to try the top of the incoming this afternoon. We had a water temp of 66. Our first few difts produced bluefish bites.. On about our 4th drift I had a striper hit on a bucktail, but missed it! After that we didn't have much for about another hour.
I was keeping the boat straight into the rip while my buddy Adam was fishing solo. In about half hour he went 1-5 all on eels! Seems the bass are still a bit slugish and we may have had a few other bites as well! But the good news is that the fish that we did catch, looked fresh and I think that a patch of them have made their way off of Cape May (Finally)!
By the end of the week....We should be putting up some steady reports!
Thanks for reading!
Go get'em! ;)
