Sunday July 24th http://www.binaryrhyme.com/ubbicons/dance.gif

Here Are The Details~

Location: Baure's Fishing Preseve
Date: Sunday July 24th 2005
Time: 3P.M Till Dark
Cost: $10 for adults $5 for children under 6 (bait and rod rental not included)
Rain Date: Sunday July 31st 2005.

Since this is our first summertime Fest, we're gonna take a casual approach, not knowing what to expect. This time around we're gonna ask that everyone provide for themselves by bringing along whatever food and drink (no alcohol please) you will need for the day. For those of you interested in grilling, there will be a few gas grills on hand smile.gif

In addition to food and drink, be sure to bring along the necessary items you'll need to survive the outdoors in the heat with bugs and all the other stuff you'd find outdoors. Stuff like- chairs, umbrellas, bug spray, sun screen...ya know...that kinda stuff. For those of you who've never been to Bauer's Pond (http://bauerspond.tripod.com), you're gonna be outside, in the sun(I hope), surrounded by woods so please come prepared.

Most importantly don't forget to bring along your fishing equipment! This is gonna be a great opportunity for us to get together and have a little fun...in the great outdoors

See ya there!

OPS! I almost forgot! This is a no alcohol event.

No alcohol is allowed at Bauer's Pond. This is an afternoon to enjoy friends, family, and fishing...I hope people will come just to enjoy the day smile.gif

Sounds great! Not sure if I can make it yet but I have some questions:
Are they're barbecue grills there, is it bring your own grill, or no grillin allowed?
Does one pay when you get there or is it advanced ticket sales?

I'll be there with my 2-5 yr old boys and 21/2 yr old girl.

Maybe I'll have a good night striper fishing and bring some nice fillets for bbq.

Mrs. Crabbs, I have emailed Ron R. but haven't got any reply about having a kids fishing tournament at the Fest. 3 age brackets, parents can cast but kids have to catch and reel the fish into the bank. Fish will be measured. 1 inch = 1 point. Fish will be released. Most points win in each age group. We could get freshwater rod and reel combos real cheap for prizes. Could award only first place in each age group or top three places in each age group. What do you think?

I'm also thinking of some non-fishing activities like balloon tosses(especially if it's a hot day)...it would be great to have the kids busy!! I'm gonna scope the pond out Thursday, I think...Email me with more detail about the prizes, age brackets, and rules when you get a chance!

Well so far we are attending, and I was wondering if I could bring my own portable gas grill?? I figured it would be easier if there are not that many grills there. TY Regina

Ron,

This sounds like a great day out for the entire bass barn family. Looking forward to meeting other Barners as I was unable to attend Barnfest.

I'm probably going to take my son. He'll turn 4 that month and he's an avid fisherman. My daughter will only be 2.5, though. We'll take her out a few times this year and see what she can handle.

Oops. Just noticed that. Please have it at Bauer's Pond again. My kids would love it.
