It's that time already! Time to begin the Bass Barn Seminar series for 2006 smile.gif

This time we are going to kick the series off by doing things a little differently. We're going to begin with Jim Eberwine from the National Marine Weather Service in Mt. Holly NJ. Jim is going to do a presentation on marine weather, forcasting, etc. I'm certain Jim's presentation will not only be something a bit different, it should also be very interesting.

From there, we are going to do what's known as a "break out" session. We're going to split things up with Darin Dorris from the Nj Angler Magazine doing an inshore tuna fishing seminar on one half of the room, while on the other half, various members of our community will be doing a "smorgasbord" presentation on a multitude of topics including~ Fishing the surf, Jetties, back bays, bridges, etc, etc, etc.

The seminar will be held at the Savoy Inn in Vineland, NJ on Thursday February 23rd. Start time will be at 7:00 PM. When we finish up will depend on the speakers, participation, etc. Probably 9:30ish or so?? The Savoy will be providing refreshments (cofee, tea, soda, etc). There will also be a cash bar available.

The seminar is Free and as always, there will be plenty of good info to go around. I might even drag some Barn Gear along with me for anyone who may be interested smile.gif

Sounds like a good night. I'm interested in hearing what the weather guesser has to say about forecasting and I'd like to get some tips on inshore tuna. Unfortunately, I'll be in Norfolk on the 23rd and will not be able to make the seminar.

I'm looking forward to Darren's seminar too! Those guys had a very good year this past year. (I'll have my desktop GPS ready Darren) LOL

Skip- I think Ron figured that everyone who will attend the seminar has already had a 1st hand look at your techniques! ;) Seriously- there's plenty more to come!!!

Darren, make sure you give away the "up north" spots, and not the "down south" spots. smile.gif

NJANGLERDARREN
02-15-2006, 03:36 PM
Spots?
I am supposed to give away spots? My BBB (bass barn bible) states that only under penalty of death, or a free fishing trip am I to divulge "spots". But you got it Bill the North of Cape May spots are fair game! LOL
Bill, what I think is truly Ironic is that while I give a seminar on HOW to get 'em you will be on your way back from deciding IF we can. that is irony.

ooooh .... and Big Red has a full tank!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ...

Damn shame I just had what HAS to be the best prime rib in the country ...

at the Fantasea Buffet in Harrahs(!!!!!!!!!! wtf is up with that? seafood very good, but that prime rib was OUTSTANDING!)

Hey Tom, do you have a meat grinder at the Savoy? Id love to try a filet mignon burger, carmelized outside (not burnt!), rare inside, cheshire or aged cheddar cheese lightly toasted on a toasted sourdough roll, yer basic 20 dollar hamburger, but Im running out of time to experiment with such things!

:D :D :D :D
