Hey Guys, I know the Delaware bay locals have much experience with Drum.
We encountered a massive school at the Shrewsbery Rocks over the weekend, midafternoon. It was quit a site to see, Hundreds, maybe Thousands of big drum all piled together on top. Some of the fish looking to be 100 plus pounds. When they all moved together, the water disturbance was wild.
We were able to agitate a few fish into striking a bucktail. One of those caught by a female friend may have earned her a line class world record. Unfortunately we did not follow record protocol.
Is this normal behavior for Black Drum ?
