Report Oc / somers pont 10/19/05

Well guys woke up and saw how nice it was out,so i called out...i have not called out in about 4yrs,but i had a good feeling..So i packed up and off i went 1 went to the close dwn Rt9 bride,caught 2 keeper flounders,and one throw back bass,then went over to Oc and went out on the 5th street jetty,nothing there,as i worked my way dwn to corsins i tried a couple spots on the beachalong the way smile.gif ,@ 30th street,i caught about 6keepers and 5 where throw backs,but it was fun and i think i was lucky to stop there,water was about 60,on a out going tied,and when i went to the bait shop in Oc the guy said to try this stuff,so i bought a pack,i said what is it and he told me bubble gum,still dont no what i was using but it was a great day off..

He must have sold you some fish bites bait which I have of good luck with but haven't tried it for stripers. Looks like bubble gum, but be careful there's a warning on the back that says don't get it in your mouth, like biting the mesh that's in the middle of it off your hook. Could be toxic.

Thanks for the Report,But You Might In The Future Leave Out The Detailed Info like -
Rt*Br,*ThStJetty & **ThSt.,just a little bit too much information there,stating that you fished OceanCity is more then enough to give everyone
here. Other info like, tide,time of day,weather,wind and water conditions along with maybe what type of lures,baits etc.. helps alot more then naming exact spots/locations...

Posting a Report? If so, please be sure to include as much valuable information as possible. You know...things like~ tide, lures, bait, colors, etc, etc, etc. When it comes to "location", please DO NOT post specific "SPOTS". For example, if you fished Sandy Hook, "Monmouth County" will suffice.

expeditionguy72, great report, you caught all those on fish bites? All I ever caught were kings, and spot and a croker every now and then, grat job. They are good and a lot easier to keep around than bloodworms. . Did you ever get to the south end? I was there last week and the surf was unreal. Heading down tomorrow for the day, mainly to get the boat out of Wilmas way. Hopefully have an hour or so to drown a fish byte or 2. Have a great day. Willie in NEPA

I dont know about sunday, but I went by there this afternoon and guess what, no one was anywere in sight fishing. Lots of parking and everything, but yet still no one around. Seriously though, I didnt have any time to wet a line today, but did stop to see if anyone was there. Willie in NEPA
