Anyone getting into the creative spirit for the Fall Run? I just cleared off my plug making bench after being idle for the past 6 months because of Little League obligations. Well, baseball is no more and now I can start to concentrate on expanding my arsenal for the beach this fall. I just soaked a few sea dogs and they're almost ready for the next stage. Also went out and restocked my paints, trebles, swivels, etc... I'm going to try to "match the hatch" first on some paint designs imitating mullet and peanuts. My wife said that after the baseball season I would find something else to fill my time... Shhhhhhh.... Don't tell her she was right. :D

yup got about 40 blanks turned and drilled. I'll start sanding and sealing here pretty sone. Hope to have them finished by the next few weeks.

but first i must finish wraping my new arsenal of rods:D

I have 100 blanks ready for the lathe. It's been too hot to work this week! I'll have them ready for fall.

i havent stoped yet,never to hot to make plugs.with all this heat the epoxy goes on so smooooooooth:D :D

I have been steadly creating new ways to make the perfectly sealed plug with the least amount of hardware. It is very addicting, up all night trying new methods etc. It is a process to say the least. I have been making 2 or 3 at a time until I feel I have the perfectly designed weighted and finished product. I will be sending them to NJ for a little field testing. I can't stop!!

I have that same Basswood... Brian and I each bought a bigger Basswood in green (the last ones) about 7 or 8 weeks ago(maybe longer)...:) Wish I wasn't here at work so I could take some pics...:)

I like those Basswoods. This winter I'll have to take more pics of the plugs I have so far. The good part of my summer job is that my kids give me the beginning part of the morning. Hang in there Rea. When the Fall comes I'll be in the classroom and you will be bailing in bass on the surf.

I am painting this morning - RM Smith pencils and Dannies - and a killer popper Ryan made from the wood of a bathroom door of his :)

I have the room now for the lathe & stuff - I think I may start playing around this winter.

Honestly, I'm so partial to Tattoos, RM Smiths & Big Dons I dont know how much Id fish my own plugs so it would be likely wind up being a waste - but friends would love it right Reannon :D:D:D

I got a big box of lures at an auction. There must be 30 lures. Lots of them salt water. I'm gonna re-paint a few of the pencil poppers. I'll post pics when I'm done.

Yes they can...but the lot he speaks of was not worth 52 and shipping. ;)
