Went out this morning with Eel and Spot. Took a strike right away on the eel while drifting with the incoming tide. The strike hit hard and kept running, My drag was too loose so I was trying to tighten it up to get a grip on him but he kept running and snapped the line, bummer for me. This happend close to the sod banks near a nice drop off from 5 to about 25'
Nothing else for about an hour, tried the spot and too a quick hit that took all the meat and left the head on.
This was it for me, the conditions worsened throughout the day with the wind picking up and rainy. Water temp was at 61 and dirty.
One boater near me picked up a 38" near Harras, no body else in the area reported any action. Several boats out though, I counted about 20 with 1 head boat out.
Action is picking up but water is still warm, hopefully I can get back out next weekend. Heading up to Seattle for work, gonna try for some Salmon.
