I am really looking forward to fishing this actually in our backbays this fall
off the sods and even trolling in the kayak,should be a winner...

Thanks Brian! :) Oh god that Eel swims great! I was looking on Tatoo's website and they don't seem to have that Blurple color pattern for the Eel lure. If I emailed him about it, would he paint it the way I wanted it?

I think the best thing you can do - or at least what I've been doing - is to purchase some plug kits to help you get started. Having the kits shows you what you need to do to assemble and paint your very own plugs. Also, the plugs are drilled out for the wire path. I am retired and I have been building plugs for a few years now. I have a very complete shop set up in my garage.
I live in Lakewood NJ. If you were willing to drive over I can give you a quick course in what it takes to get started.
I will tell you that it can get very expensive if you do it right so make sure it's really what you want to do.

Yeah Charlie thats a tuff call for sure there,, I have started a collection of them and that one was on my list and I may never be able to be replace it.
I also have a white one.Maybe I will If I cannot find some New Hahn Snakes. I dream of catching a decent fish on some of these throw-back
plugs.. So that being said it might make a apprearance in my bag when no blues are around later this year...;)
