If you don't choose to receive emails b/c you are worried about your email address being out in the open for any phishing, spam and/or unwarranted solicitations from other websites, etc, no need to worry about it here at the Barn.
When email receipt is selected by you and you allow person to send you emails thru the Barn, the person emailing you does not see your email address. No one can see your email b/c it is kept private.
The email is sent thru the Barn's server. There is no public display of email addresses of the Barn Members to anyone. So there is no need to worry about your email getting plucked for some unintended purpose.
So, have at it and open up those emails.
Not sure how to activate email, simply:
select CP User then choose Edit Options then scroll down to Messages & Notifications then check off the boxes.
You will then be on your way to communicate with other Barners in private.
