I'm having trouble finding stainless steel wire for the plugs I've been playing with. I was given a 4ft piece, which I think came from a well driller? I'm having trouble finding more, but I know this stuff must be used for something common, just have not been able to find it. Any ideas for the Cherry Hill area and also, what gauge wire is most commonly used for plug making? Thanks for any assistance.:)
PS: Already tried Home depot, Lowes and most hobby/craft stores.

It's .062 welding wire. Any welding supply house will carry it. Get it in 304 or 308 annealed if you can as it will be easier to work with. Or you can get it prebent from NJ Tackle.com. I hope I don't get in trouble for that.

I threw my cell out the window on 72. It's somewhere in the pine barrens and the jersey devil is probably pissed because it won't work for him either. Sorry for hijacking your thread.

if 4' lasted a long time just gt the weld shop that uses it & ask for 20' or so . (my shop uses the .035 used 4 spinnerbates & bottombouncers)
