Went out saturday in some iffy weather. Hung out front for a little with rain and low visability. Finally took a chance and ran to the SI Lumps. A few minutes after the lines were in the water picked up a couple of flatties(no keepers) A few minutes later had a nice run off and to my surprise we had a 3-4ft thresher at the side of the boat(on a flounder rig none the less.) We didn't get a chance to get it on the boat before it bit the line off. About a half hour later we had a monster run off spooling the reel with a little pull back at it snapped off. A few seconds later a 5-6ft thresher was jumping off the starboard side. Never seen that before a first for thresher for me. AWESOME..
On another note. I just put ethanol in my boat(1987 Yamahas with about 750 hours) Immediatly my star engine started running rough. I called Yamaha today and they gave me some tips. Hope you all can use this.
1.Make sure you are using a 10micron fuel filter
2.A continuous use of "Ring Free" decarbonizer.Put in the fuel tank when filling up read directions.
3.Fuel stabilizer any will do as well a continuous use when fueling up read directions on bottle.
I hope this little bit helps out anyone with having issues.
