Tried to get one more good striper trip in before it comes to an end. Started the day off again by snagging about a dozen bunker in the A.H. harbor. It took about an hour to get them this time. Ran my 16' Starcraft around the Hook and down to the Highlands Bridge. Tried drifting and no action. Tried anchor up and got one nice 36" 17 pound striper about 9:00. Didn't see anybody else hooking up and the place emptied out by 10 or 11:00. We were just floating around during slack tide and got a fat 36" 20 pounder around 11:00. Got another 34" 15 pounder around noon. It was a long time in between bites but in the end it paid off. Made the 12 mile run in flat seas back to the marina around 1:00 and called it a day. Water temp was 70 by noontime. A great day to be off of work and on the water.
