View Full Version : Handling bait
Reading another thread on the board got me thinking about a topic that I've never seen covered on the Barn.
What do you do to keep your hands fresh? What I mean is, say, you have to put suntan lotion on, you get some gas on your hands, cigars, whatever. Just rinse them in the salt water? Bring a bar of soap? No water soap?
Just wondering.

usually I don't use sunblock, but I gues it wouldn't hurt to get a bar of soap distictivley made for deer hunters to hide human and any other scent like a scent blocker ... maybe this could be a use for it ,besides for hunting , or coming home from the boobie bar ;) I'd get a bucket of water apply your lotion then wash your hands inn the bucket , dump it when your runnin...
Andy, thanks for the great idea with the hunters soap. Picking some up today (heading down to the OBX for six days on Saturday).
What's the matter with the boobie bar smell? You don't like stinking like peaches and cream when you get home? Forget the hunter's soap to get that smell off, you're better off spraying some deer urine to really throw her off ;)
Thanks again,

Smart friends. It's not an inconspicuous stink.
Thanks. I'll post a report upon return.

I'm an aircraft Tech. Carry a small bottle of Jet Fuel! She won't get near ya!
"Yup, worked in them Fuel tanks again tonight Hon!"
If I get something on my hands, I wash'em in WD40! Works like a charm! ;)
LOL! All the more reason to apply for a job in waste disposal, I assume!

BUG SPRAY is a must somedays. I usually have a pair of disposible nitrile gloves to put the stuff on and rub. Then get rid of he gloves and don't touch where the bug spray went. My hands smell and taste just like fresh bait ;) works for me
